What causes a man to go into a rage unprovoked?

He was deprive of love and affection as a child,so that's what he says.he's mother denies it and says he lies.He won't dare look at a man the wrong way from fear of getting beat up.he talks really bad about his mother and two sisters all the time.He smokes a lot of pot and is doing other drugs too.
