Why do gay men spread HIV/AIDS faster than any other minority in America?

I would assume it's because AIDs came to America through a gay man, who passed it on within the gay community. The men didn't know about STDs at the time and assumed the only risk of sex was pregnancy, so they didn't wear condoms. It has nothing to do with their level of sexual activity or 'God' being angry at them.
