Swelling on one side of my horse's withers?

Take her off of the MSM for two weeks. If the swelling goes away that is it, if it doesn't it's something else... Feed, wormer, fly spray, all can cause hives. Try stopping the MSM first. If it doesn't quit then call your vet and have him checked out asap.
